Many kitchens have struggled to adapt to the prevalence of Vegan dietary requirements in recent years. No 3 at Nightingale Place is – thankfully – not one of them. Our head chef said, “We’ve not been impacted at all. I’ve enjoyed it in fact. We have all these amazing world ingredients which pack a bunch of flavour and really get your creativity juices going.” That’s good because Veganism is only set to rise in 2021.

According to ‘Plant Protiens.co’, “Approximately 1.16% of the Great Britain population (600,000 people) reported being vegan in 2018 — a 4x (300%) increase from 2014, when 150,000, or 0.25% of the population, was reported.” This is mostly due to health and environmental concerns that many people are starting to take note of.

‘Healthline’ suggests that, “several studies have reported that vegan diets tend to provide more fibre, antioxidants and beneficial plant compounds. They also appear to be richer in potassium, magnesium, folate and vitamins A, C and E.” As Veganism gains steam, more options are identified to provide the required levels of protein found in a meat-eaters diet, so it’s becoming less of a concern overall.

On your next visit, why not try the Ancient grain salad, red quinoa, freekeh, buckwheat, charred broccoli, spinach, avocado, soy pumpkin seeds, avocado, tahini and miso dressing large plate. It’s stunning, crisp and tasty. Or if you’re visiting for breakfast, enjoy the Chia and pumpkin seed Granola, coconut yoghurt and poached plums for a filling start to your morning. Our menus change often and we’re always striving to push the bounds of Vegan cuisine.
